Sarah Howe’s practice focuses on the active formation of identity in contemporary society, which she explores through moving-image and photography. She is intrigued in particular by the psychological and emotional impact of technology on the individual. Her work puts found resources into new contexts, connecting art-making, GIF-making and self-making.

Howe completed her BA in Photographic Art at the University of Westminster in 2010. She is currently pursuing an MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art. She has presented solo exhibitions at The Foundry, London, 2012; Answering Adversity, Young Photographers Alliance, various locations in UK, US and Canada, 2010; and A Seat In The City, Source Project Space, Sheffield, 2010.
