Maurizio Valch (1972)

Barcelona
Visual artist, writer, and graphic designer exploring the intersection of symbolism, introspection, and poetic landscapes. With a background in Graphic Design and Fine Arts studies in Argentina, Maurizio’s work is deeply influenced by his inner journey and a lifelong search for creative authenticity. His paintings blend abstraction and surrealism, featuring recurring motifs such as ascending staircases, portals, night skies, and eyes as fruits on trees—symbols that evoke transformation, mystery, and duality. Each piece is accompanied by an original poem to deepen the emotional and spiritual experience. Maurizio has exhibited internationally, including in Barcelona’s Real Círculo Artístico and Gran Teatre del Liceu, and his work is held in collections worldwide. His artistic path is enriched by profound life experiences, including five Caminos de Santiago and a long bicycle journey through Europe, which inform his unique aesthetic vision. Based now in Barcelona, Maurizio shares his creative life with four dogs and three cats who inspire and accompany him in his studio practice.
