Amanda, originally from Kansas, lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Her art practice includes painting, film, drawing and sculpture. She is a recent 2020 MFA graduate of Pratt Institute.
The invention of her Jungian persona, Crazy Horse, lead to an intuitive investigation of the soul. Amanda's ethereal spirit paintings, and psychological films, transport the viewer to a Nuevo dark fantasy. Her work is influenced through her quest for spiritual truths through the research of her Cherokee roots, Hinduism and Buddhism.
An amalgamation of family history, her own family and personal relationships, and diverse cultural philosophies innovate her own figurative language.
