Born in 1993, Samiha Fozi Khan is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Lahore, Pakistan. She has spent her childhood time mostly in the United Arab Emirates; during the time period of grade 1 – 7.She studied O levels and A levels from Lahore, Pakistan. She did her A –levels in Art and Design with an A*.
As soon as she began her first year at the university, her artwork “The journey” got selected by the Adobe and Red bull Collective Art Competiton.In which she was the only person chosen from all over Pakistan and in South Asia to have her work displayed amongst 36 galleries worldwide. Also, from first year to last year she has been awarded with on merit scholarship awards and a consistent entry into the Dean’s Honors List under Salima Hashmi.
Samiha has recently exhibited her thesis project at The Degree Show 2016 under Bachelors in Visual Arts at Beacon house National University, Lahore.She has won various awards and honours like Human Rights Comission of Pakistan's "The Videography Contest" in which her documentary "Beaten" on domestic violence won first prize. Her video and photo works have been internationally displayed in The ‘Venice Art House Gallery’ – show “BORDERS & DISORDERS” 2015 and at Louvre Museum's "Exposure Award" Paris 2015..She also won an award based residency in a 17th century convent under “The Lecouvent Grant Award 2015” in France.
Living in a society of constantly facing challenges; Samiha works enthusiastically in various media.
