Paulo Majano is an artist working in Vancouver, Canada. For over a decade, he has produced exhibitions and projects merging a figurative approach, based on his background in painting and photography, with technology based forms of presentation and interaction. His current interested is on themes investigating the synthesis of real and imagined spaces, visualization of imagery from memory and the imagination, and the individual's subjective use of public spaces. Current projects focus on creating hybrid experiences blurring the line between the virtual and the physical. Paulo Majano has received awards for art produced in a range of media including the E. Greenshield Award for figurative painting, the Vancouver Foundation VADA Award, and Canada Council Creation/Production Grants for Photography and Video Projects.
