Aria and Sedition Partner to Expand the Future of Creative IP

Aria and Sedition Partner to Expand the Future of Creative IP

Today, we’re excited to announce a new partnership with Aria, the on-chain IP protocol that enables investors to access and earn from iconic IP real‑world assets (RWA). Together, we’re opening fresh pathways for artists and collectors by bringing visual art royalties into the world of tokenized IP, so creativity can be experienced, collected, streamed, and shared as a dynamic asset.

Why this partnership matters

Sedition has always championed new ways for artists to present and earn from their work in the digital realm. Aria shares that vision. Their infrastructure turns IP rights into liquid, yield‑bearing tokens, starting with music, and now, through this collaboration, extending into visual art.

By connecting Sedition’s global audience of contemporary art lovers with Aria’s Web3‑focused RWA investors and creative community, we’re aligning two powerful ecosystems: one built for experiencing and collecting digital art, and one designed to activate IP as a financial asset.

How it works

Visual Art Grant Program: Aria will initiate a grant program to commission new artworks. The resulting works will be available to experience and collect on Sedition.

Tokenized Streaming Income: Streaming income rights from those works will be tokenized on Aria, enabling royalty sharing between artists and Aria IP RWA token holders.

Expanding IP RWA Portfolios: Under this model, Aria will incorporate visual art into its IP portfolios—creating new avenues for patronage, licensing, and monetization.

Community & Culture: Sedition and Aria will co‑host and sponsor contemporary art events worldwide. More details soon.

This approach treats creative works as living IP: they’re not static files but assets that can generate access, value, and liquidity across audiences and markets.

Voices from the partners

“Our mission at Sedition has always been to give artists new ways to bring their work to life in the digital world. What Aria is building really resonates with that vision. It’s not just about putting art onchain; it’s about creating sustainable ecosystems where artists can earn from their IP, build their audience, and stay connected to their collectors. In this model, art isn’t static, it becomes a living, dynamic asset.”

Dyl Blaquiere, CEO of Sedition

“Aria’s partnership with Sedition marks our entrance into the visual art world and its unique forms of IP. It’s the first step in our broader mission to build a new financial framework for the creative industries. Together, we’re demonstrating how creative IP can evolve into a dynamic asset class that’s experienced, shared, and monetized in ways that create value for creators, patrons, and investors alike.”

— David Kostiner, Co‑Founder & Chief IP Officer, Aria

About Aria Protocol

Aria enables investors to access and earn from iconic IP RWAs. Built on Story, a purpose‑built L1 blockchain for IP, Aria brings IP rights, starting with music, on-chain as fungible, liquid, yield‑bearing tokens. Aria Protocol Labs Inc., founded by music industry veterans including David Kostiner (co‑founder of Counsel LLP and IODA, acquired by Sony Music), leads development and strategy under mandate from the Aria Foundation. In 2025, Aria launched its first tokenized IP asset, $APL, representing royalties from partial rights tied to songs performed by Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and BLACKPINK. Soon, the token will also be linked to remixes of three tracks from renowned South Korean artist and actress NANA.

What’s next

Over the coming months, we’ll share details on the first grant recipients, release timelines, and our joint event calendar. If you’re an artist interested in the grant program or a collector curious about tokenized IP rights, stay tuned here and on our social channels.

Art is evolving. With Sedition × Aria, it’s also becoming a living asset.
