Ayşegül Altunok Zilkovski (b. 1987) graduated from the Sculpture Department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, completed her MA thesis on “the use of artificial light as a structural element in abstract sculpture,” and received her Proficiency in Art degree with the dissertation titled “the relationship between sculpture and space in virtual reality environments.” Her practice builds sensory, spiritual and spatial experiences derived from moments in nature, living forms and abandoned structures. She explores the interaction of simple geometric constructions with color, light and composition, producing works that move fluidly between abstract sculpture, digital media, video and virtual spaces. Her artistic practice extends across digital works and video pieces to diorama–micro sculpture installations and VR-based environments, forming a multi-layered approach to material and perception.
