In The Elemental Unconscious, Serge Goldwicht traces the invisible dialogue between nature and the mind. Each video becomes a meditation on the deep symbiosis between the elements — water, air, earth — and the currents of human consciousness.
From the hypnotic swell of the ocean in A Storm at Sea and Aquatic Scores of the Sea to the primal encounters of Birds and Predators and the boundless solitude of Desert Dream, the artist explores the movement of thought as fluid, instinctive, and timeless. In The Deep Sea Sensation, perception itself descends into the abyss, where form and formlessness dissolve into one.
Goldwicht’s works transcend digital creation, unfolding entirely through organic processes that merge pigment, ink, and natural motion into living images. Together, they form an elemental language of sound, colour, and rhythm — an invitation to witness the unconscious as nature’s own reflection.
All of Serge Goldwicht’s videos are created using natural materials, inks, and pigments. No electronic effects or algorithms are employed.
The sounds and music for all videos were created by sound designer Pierre Lebecque.
