Sedition launches a new collection of photographic digital editions as part of Magnum Photos’ 70th anniversary celebrations.
The collection is the second series of works by Magnum photographers to be launched on Sedition and features work by world-renowned photographers including Burt Glinn, Dennis Stock, Rene Burri, Peter Marlow, Richard Kalvar, Martin Parrand A. Abbas.
Throughout 2017, Magnum Photos, the acclaimed photographers cooperative, celebrate their 70th year with an extensive international programme of exhibitions and events. The launch programme began in London, travelled to New York over the summer, and their latest series of events takes place in Paris throughout the winter.
From 9 to 12 November, Magnum will showcase a selection of iconic and modern photography as part of Paris Photo art fair at the Grand Palais. The exhibition, at Booth A33, includes works by Eve Arnold , Jonas Bendiksen , Werner Bischof, Matt Black, Bruce Davidson, Raymond Depardon, Bieke Depoorter, Carolyn Drake, Harry Gruyaert and Josef Koudelka. The event features a VIP opening on 8 November and a presentation by Jonas Bendiksen on 9 November.
From 6 November 2017 until 27 January 2018, an exhibition of works by Paolo Pellegrin opens at the Magnum Photos Gallery in Paris in the 18th arrondissement.

On 10 November, a launch of the Magnum LiveLab Paris takes place at L’Annexe with Magnum photographers Antoine d’Agata, Bieke Depoorter, and Jérôme Sessini. The event is is curated by Emmanuelle de l’Ecotais, Curator of Photography at the Musée d’art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. Magnum will also host a party to celebrate their 70th year at Warner Music France featuring a special performance by author, composer, musician, Roni Alter.
From 1 November to 31 December, Magnum Photos present a pop-up shop at the Bon Marché Rive Gauche in partnership with the publisher Actes-Sud and design company Plinth. Together they are ‘Le Gang de Noel’, whose aim is to offer unique and quirky gifts highlighting the work of celebrated Magnum photographers. The gifts can be seen and purchased at the Galerie de l’Imaginaire on the first floor. Alongside the gift display, Magnum also present a series of talks by renowned photographers at Le Bon Marché. The speakers are Stuart Franklin (15 Nov), Richard Kalvar (25 Nov), Thomas Dworzak (2 Dec), Guy Le Querrec (9 Dec), Harry Gruyaert (16 Dec) and Jérôme Sessini (17 Dec). Each speaker will introduce, and sign, a contact sheet they produced.
