Ghost Zone is a new collection of five artworks by Brit Bunkley. The “zone” refers to both the utopian antipodean "Godzone”, an historical colloquial term for New Zealand, and to the dystopian, magical “zone” of Tarkovsky’s Stalker (1979). From the lush green forests of New Zealand to the arid ghost towns of south-eastern California, the collection explores both magnificent nature and abandoned ruins whose traces spark the intersection of nature and culture.
